If there is a fire, the flame sensor will detect and activate the alarm while also halting the machine’s operation. You can check the environment and avoid placing the machine in direct sunlight. Contacting customer service to adjust the sensitivity of the lame sensor is also needed.

The best laser I ever had. It cuts everything I want and engrave perfectly. I also use a rotary, and engrave the glass very deep - I use a cheap black chalk spray. Buy with H44 honeycomb and G5 rotary roller, everything else was in the box. I prefer 5mm plywood for my projekte and 3mm acrylic. The fumes are cleaned with P150, also perfectly.
We have purchased and use 5 Mecpow laser units. Two x3 and three x4 machines. All have worked well for us with little difficulty. I have not used any other laser, so I can’t compare. We bought our 1st Mecpow and stayed with them. I wish someone would design a laser that was easy to clean. We use our machines for doing a lot of wood cutting that causes a lot of tar to build up on fans both laser and exhaust. Maybe someone will design a filter to prevent buildup.
I was worried that the low price of this unit would mean that it was substandard, but I was wrong. I have cut many different types of materials and engraved on even more. I wish it came with a mesh cutting platform, but those are not very expensive so I picked one up.It was easy to assemble and there was no damage in shipment.I started out with GRBL, but quickly realized that Lightburn is the best option. Lots of room for many projects and plenty of power for my uses!
I bought this and the Falcon 2 Pro. This was $500 cheaper, but it can do all the same things.The build quality of the Falcon 2 Pro is better for the metal base, in that it is heavier and feels sturdier (also the drawer slides on wheels), but the Mecpow is still fantastic and has all the same basic features.The enclosure is better on the Mecpow as it uses thick acrylic vs the think acrylic sheet of the Falcon. Opening and closing the Falcon means sliding metal against metal and it's loud and annoying. The Mecpow just opens up, but not too high that you need a ton of extra clearance.One thing I'll note - make sure you rotate the emergency switch on first use to pop it out of its locked mode, or the machine will seemingly not work.All in all, would highly recommend as a first laser.
This machine comes with a cover and air assist. It takes about 1 hour to assemble but you don't have to worry about the gantry because that is already assembled. It has a built in camera to go along with Lightburn and you have less waste material.. Always do a material test prior to engraving or cutting
