What types of lasers can engrave metal?
Diode lasers can engrave stainless steel and some coated metals, but they cannot engrave directly on reflective metallic surfaces, as this may damage the laser module. For the best results, infrared lasers are ideal for metal engraving because of their ability to engrave on any metal and produce deep marks.
